Safer Spaces policies are a big part of collective and communal spaces, but do they always help? In what ways do safer spaces policies actually cause damage, and how can we look at them differently?

Broadening the conversation beyond communal spaces, we also wish to consider the ways in which some countries are considered as safe zones, while others are not. Switzerland, Denmark, France, for example, are countries with, we are told, democracy and freedom. They make elections, even if they are not actually safe. How can democracy, both micro-cosmically and macro-cosmically be practiced in way that is safe?
